The Awakening Sculpture in Chesterfield, MO is one of my favorite pieces of art. It's a 70 foot statue of a giant man trying to free himself from the ground. One thing I love about this sculpture is the fact you can get as close as you want and see the detail of everything. You can touch it, and I personally have seen people climbing all over it all of the time. The statue consist of 5 different giant aluminum pieces, so its not just a whole giant man they buried in the ground. The Awakening in chesterfield is actually the recreation of the original one created in 2009. The original is in Washington D.C.
